Liz Loewy

Liz is co-founder and COO of EverSafe, a company that protects older people and their families from scams, fraud, and identity theft. She also acts as a liaison to external organizations focused on elder fraud as well as a company spokesperson on financial abuse. 

Previously, Liz was Chief of the Elder Abuse Unit in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She oversaw the investigation and prosecution of approximately 800 elder abuse cases annually and served as co-counsel in the trial involving the financial exploitation of well-known philanthropist Brooke Astor by her son and his attorney, which resulted in convictions for both defendants. In addition to her work as a prosecutor, Loewy has been a featured speaker at conferences for police, prosecutors, civil attorneys, and financial services professionals nationwide. 

Liz has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from the Albany Law School.
