Susan Mende

Susan, Senior Program Officer at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a public health professional with 25 years of experience with an emphasis on ethnic and underserved populations in health and aged care.

Her work has covered hands-on patient care, program and grants development, project management, training development and implementation, research, quality improvement, and general management. She has consulted broadly with international organizations including the United Nations and World Health Organization, published several international conference and journal papers and reports, and is highly articulate. As a result, she is regularly sought as an expert speaker on the topic of an integrated approach to health and social care. 

Susan has a Master of Public Health degree from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing degree from San Francisco State University.
