Aparna leads the U.S. operations of the Catalyst Group, a social impact organization based in the Global South, strengthening community health systems, livelihood avenues, and social protections to achieve well-being and dignity for the most vulnerable. She is the Executive Director at the Impact Catalyst Foundation responsible for U.S. programming (primarily in public health), academic partnerships, and fundraising. 

From 2013-18, she was Executive Director at Social Venture Partners (a global network of engaged philanthropists), working with the National Board of Directors to set up six city chapters and partner with 50+ NGOs across the country. She has also headed the Earthy Goods Foundation, a nonprofit focused on the revival of traditional crafts in India. Prior to that, she set up and managed the corporate social responsibility function for MphasiS, an HP Company, where she built partnerships with the local community and government and initiated India’s first corporate recruitment program for people with disabilities.

Aparna has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (India), and a master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics.
