Daniel Cotlear
Daniel Cotlear supports developing countries working to implement policies to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and works on topics of population aging. He is Technical Director for Health Systems at Palladium, a global management consultancy, and volunteers in various institutions based in Peru and in Washington, D.C. He was manager of the World Bank’s Universal Health Coverage Study Series, which published 40 country case studies analyzing how policymakers in low-and middle-income countries are implementing UHC.
His recent publications include Going Universal in Africa: a map of UHC health financing policies in 46 African countries and several papers analyzing the impact of population aging on the Peruvian social health insurance. He holds a D.Phil. from Oxford University and a B.A. from the Catholic University of Peru.
