Atalaya Sergi
Atalaya Sergi has dedicated her career to building bridges across generations, recognizing that people of all ages have value and creating systems that position older adults as vital contributors to thriving communities. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Albemarle Foundation for Education, where she leads efforts to strengthen public education through philanthropy, partnerships, and collaboration.
Previously, Atalaya was the National Director of AmeriCorps Seniors, the nation’s largest federally funded grantmaking office supporting older adults in service and volunteerism. She oversaw a $230 million portfolio and advanced initiatives that expanded opportunities for older adults nationwide. Earlier in her career, she held national and regional leadership roles at Jumpstart for Young Children, where she fostered intergenerational engagement and workforce development programs that continue to influence the field.
Throughout her career, Atalaya has championed belonging, purpose, and lifelong engagement. She serves on several national advisory committees on aging, volunteerism, and workforce development.
