Supporting Palliative Care in Ukraine With a Grant From GlobalGiving

Dear Supporters,

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with you: GlobalGiving has recently approved a HelpAge USA grant application for $150,000 to support palliative care for older people in Ukraine. This funding is a significant step forward in our mission to provide essential care and support to older individuals in need.

A portion of this grant will be dedicated to advocacy efforts among U.S. policymakers and other humanitarian actors with the goal of raising awareness about the urgent need for palliative care and implementing policies and decisions that guarantee access to these vital services for older people in Ukraine.

Palliative care plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for older people, providing them with comfort, dignity, and relief from pain. However, older people often face unique challenges in accessing these services, making it critical for us to advocate on their behalf.

With the support of this grant, we will be able to amplify our efforts, reaching out to policymakers and humanitarian partners to create a greater understanding of the palliative care needs in Ukraine. By working collaboratively, we can ensure that older people receive the care and attention they deserve, allowing them to live their lives with dignity and peace.

We are immensely grateful for the generosity of GlobalGiving and for your continued support, which makes it possible for us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people in Ukraine and beyond. Your compassion and dedication inspire us, and together, we can create a world where every individual, regardless of age, receives the care and respect they deserve.

Thank you for being an essential part of our mission. We look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of this initiative and the impact your support is making in the lives of older people in Ukraine.

Warm regards,
