Susan Riker

Strategic Advisor

Susan has been passionate about improving the lives of older people since she joined HelpAge USA as the Director of Partnerships and Development in 2011.  During her 10 years with the organization, she increased the US funding base through new corporate and foundation partnerships with Met Life, Pfizer, AARP, Hilton, FHI-360, and the National Endowment of Democracy, among others. She oversaw over $5 million in grant applications and supported proposal development for projects in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.

Prior to HelpAge, Susan worked in media, marketing, and business development spanning 25 years. Her career includes international lending at Chase Manhattan Bank, publishing at U.S. News & World Report, and communications and fundraising in the international non-profit sector. 

Susan is currently a leadership coach and consultant, working with mid- and senior-level professionals around the world. She is deeply committed to helping individuals realize their unique strengths, navigate complex challenges, achieve bold goals, and reach their full potential as human beings.

Susan has an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, a Master of International Relations degree from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mt Holyoke College.
