#OlderNotOver is our three-year campaign that will champion a fuller, more authentic portrayal of what life really looks like after 60, in the U.S. and around the world.

Why #OlderNotOver?

The world is changing. It’s getting older, rapidly. By 2030, one in six of us will be 60 or above. In countries like Japan and Italy, that figure becomes one in three.

And older people are changing too.

They’re living longer, healthier lives.

They have raised children, grandchildren, villages, and voices. And they’re not done yet.

Imagine how different society will look and feel with a third of us being older. A huge change is coming.

The trouble is, our stereotypes and our systems have yet to catch up with this new older generation.

But if more people realized that we’re #OlderNotOver, we would have a far better chance of creating a world that works for all ages.

Join the #OlderNotOver Movement

While there are global frameworks that make sure you can’t discriminate against a person because of their race, sex, nationality, religion, language, or ethnicity, there is no such framework when it comes to age. That means millions of people are being discriminated against and penalized simply because they are older.

Together, we can create a powerful movement that truly champions older age in all its glory.

Make a difference by getting involved in the #OlderNotOver campaign today! Here’s how.

Post on Social Media

It’s time to show what older people are REALLY like on social media. Post a short video, photo, or even a couple of sentences about why you are #OlderNotOver and tag HelpAge USA. We need your voice!

Be a Champion

Older people with profile, power, and personality can go a long way when it comes to changing how the world thinks about aging. Become an #OlderNotOver Champion by emailing Alex Garvey, Communications Manager, at agarvey@helpageusa.org.
