Katie Smith Sloan

Board Co-Chair

Katie is president and CEO of Leading Age, a national organization of over 5,000 community-based providers of services for people as they age. She also serves as the executive director of the Global Ageing Network, an organization with a global presence committed to improving the quality of life for people as they age.

Previously, she served in leadership positions at AARP, where she led social marketing initiatives in health, wellness, economic security, and consumer protection. Other boards she serves on include the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation in Canada, the Long Term Quality Alliance, and the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation. She is co-chair of Dementia Friendly America, a multi-sector collaborative fostering dementia-friendly communities.

Katie has a Master of Public Policy degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College.
